Thankful
Well here are some pictures of the new sewing room. It's still in progress and a mess, but I'm LOVING it! I would never guess how much fun this would be. Last week Israel came down and did her homework at the new desk, Judah came and claimed her special spot, Christina has been studying and hanging out, and last night Sean came down and built us a fire! It's made the downstairs quite the hang out. I am so thankful for my life. I am in a city that I really like, near to the House of Prayer and the best part - surrounded by people who I love. I live with one of my dearest friends in the whole world, my Mom is here!!, I have the coolest kids in the whole world and I have the best husband ever! Havah has been great. She is growing and changing so quickly. She loves the new sewing room too. I put the pack and play down here and she loves playing in there while she can still peak out at us all.

Second Hand
Mom, Judah, Havah and I went to two local thrift shops in search of tables for the new sewing room. Not only did we find two great tables we also found a Snuggli to sell on craigslist, a thermos for Israel's lunch, a lamp shade, a tennis racket (for Judah of course), a musical table for Havah, some tupperware for Sean and the big highlight a garage with an elevator for Judah's cars. Total spent: less than $30

Transformation
I'm not sure if I've ever really posted pictures of our family room. It is currently under a major makeover! Family room turned sewing studio! Woo Hoo! Pictures will follow. First I have to make a few more changes.

Play Time
Havah got some new toys this week. A jumparoo and a few fun things for the floor. She LOVES the jumparoo, but not as much as she loves to play on the floor with her dad.

A Real Friend
Zeb is such a good friend. Secretly I think he favors Judah. I found Zeb laying on Judah's bed earlier today. If she leaves a sweater out he will lay on it. The other day I found one of her toys in his kennel. It hadn't been chewed - just snuggled.

The New Bath Seat
Bath time is Havah's favorite time of the day. She has been trying to sit up while in the tub for the past week. I keep trying to make her be a little baby, but she keeps trying to get big.
What could be better than bath time? Bath time with big sisters!

Caroline and Luke

My dear friend Caroline and her husband Scott are in Salt Lake City awaiting the birth of their new little boy. This past weekend I was so thankful that I got to attend their fundraiser. I saw so many people that I hadn't seen in years. I can't believe how much everyone has changed and how much their kids have grown up!
Hurry up Luke! We can't wait for you to be born!
*Note the cup of pink goodness in my hand. That would be Black Rasberry Chip Ice Cream.

1.5 MILLION DOLLARS FOR ADOPTIONS!!!
Copied from the blog of Tracie Loux:
1.5 MILLION DOLLARS FOR ADOPTIONS!!!
American Express is giving away a 2.5 million dollar gift to different organizations who are doing charitable work, and who also get enough nominations to qualify to be chosen for this project. (1.5 MIL will be given to the top nomination and an additional 1 MIL will be split between three other worthy organizations). We need 700 more votes to help qualify a very important organization called Reece's Rainbow. They are doing a tremendous job of helping orphaned Down Syndrome children through their adoption agency. This is the agency that where Derek and Renee are adopting Misha. If Reeces Rainbow were to win this gift, this would enable them to adopt out almost all of the waiting DS children with full grants!
You DO NOT have to own an American Express card to vote. Just sign in as a guest and remember to vote for Reece's Rainbow.
It will only take 1 to 2 minutes of your time and your vote could make it possible for an orphan to be placed in a forever family. Thanks so much for considering this wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the life of an orphan.

Has it really been three weeks?
We are in Washington DC for another week. We've been in the area for one week already. The first few days were spent in Annapolis with our new wonderful friends. Now we're staying in Capital Hill making more food than I've ever seen in my entire life! The Henry's and Gram are making food for the Awakening Teen Interns, TheCall Staff, and the onething inters. Yikes... that's a lot of people.
I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

Side Projects
Here are the things I've been working on other than baby stuff..
Cards from cut up paint samples

One of my favorite things is post cards. I never know what to do with them. I got the idea the other day to sew them together. I don't think you can tell in this picture, but they are zig zag stitched together to make a post card quilt. Post cards are my love language.

My Hands!
Havah used to be afraid of her hands. We would have to often bundle her just to hide them from her. Whenever she would get excited they would fly past her face. Scarry! What are those things?
In the past two days she's decided they are alright. She likes to hold them together (which she's done for a long time actually) and has discovered that they taste good.

Sean, Havah and I have been taking morning walks. Havah loves that we have bumpy roads and cracked sidewalks.

Cousins!
I Love Saturday Mornings
Saturday mornings are the best mornings of the week! We spend the mornings in bed drinking coffee and talking. Most Saturdays the kids are right there too, but this Saturday Israel is at camp and Judah is in her room with Jennai. Havah's the only one who hung out with us today, but she was asleep for most of it. Now Sean is downstairs noodling with his new toys, Havah is in her swing and I'm about to go pour another cup. In a bit we'll be off to the city market. Hurray for Saturday.

Havalujah!
Last night Havah had her typical evening, but there must have been some magic in it somewhere. I gave her the normal evening bath, she played with dad and her big sisters, then tucked her in her bed for the night by 8. I went to bed around 9:30 deciding to skip her normal 10:00 snack. I didn't hear a sound from her till 2:45am! I fed her and tucked her back in bed. She slept till 6:45! I feel like a million bucks!

She's a snuggler. Havah convinced Jeannie Bean to snuggle her too. It really isn't too hard.
Two weekends ago Jeannie and Ethan came to visit Havah. I know Jeannie came to see me too, but I know why she really came. We can't wait to see her again in just a few weeks. We can't wait to meet Ethan in just a few months!

Here's the link to the pictures from our trip. I actually didn't take very many pictures because mom was our trip photographer. :) Fair warning...there are LOTS of pictures.

Breaking the Rules
So far everyday we've been in Florida we've been breaking Sean's # 1 rule. Don't have too much fun!
Day one was at The Magic Kingdom. Havah rode It's a Small World.
Day two was at Epcot. Sean and I rode Mission to Space and spent the rest of the day regretting it.
Day three was at the revival. A meeting in the morning and a meeting in the evening. It was more exciting than Disney World.
Day four was spent at the beach. We walked 50 yards into the ocean and were only up to our waists. The Gulf of Mexico is so different than the Pacific in Southern California.
Tonight Havah and I are spending the evening with my Dad's cousins Phyllis and Gene while everyone else is back at the revival. Havah's had a lot of late nights and needs a peaceful evenings with no fireworks or characters.
Pictures will follow soon.

Tomorrow's the start of an eventful summer. Early in the morning I take Sean and my Mom to the airport. Late that evening I am going back to the airport with all of my girls. We'll land in Orlando at 1am. We'll spend a week in Florida at the revival and Disney World.
Shortly after we get back our good friends from California are coming with their kids to join Israel for ATC. Then I head to Cincinnati for a family reunion. In July Israel and Judah are going to California for a few weeks. Sean and I are talking about going to Carolina while they are gone.
Once all this is over it's only a short time before the girls start school again.
This is going to be a fun summer.

What I Should Have Said
This is what I thought as I layed in bed yesterday evening. I am having this thought more often than I would like right now. It's one of those glorious times of great weakness brought on by lack of sleep and new stresses. Havah hasn't been sleeping as well as I would like and is often grumpy in the evenings. This puts her mom on edge. When I'm on edge I end up doing and saying things I wish I hadn't. Maybe I still would have done something or said something, but things sound so much better when you have a clear head. I need God's help. I need the Holy Spirit. I need the fruit of the Spirit.

The Exciting Life of Havah Henry
Havah's life is quite exciting right now. Her day begins around 6:00 each morning. She politely lets her Momma know that it's time for breakfast. After breakfast her Momma politely lets her know that it is too early to begin the day, so Havah goes to visit Gram.
After Havah's second breakfast Gram and I get ready to run errands. Havah LOVES to run errands. She gets a new diaper, clean cloths and put in the car seat. This is how she let's me know that she loves it.

After running errands it's time for elevensies. After this mid morning snack Havah loves to sit in her swing (this one she really does love). Thank you Auntie Angela for the wonderful swing!

After a nap the sisters usually get home from school. This is one of Havah's favorite times of the day. In her world she becomes a rock star. Her sisters sing and dance her around the kitchen, change her diapers, sit and talk to her about their day and listen to her talk about hers.

This is where the day blurrs. At this point Havah's Momma is tired and ready for Daddy to come hold her. All throughout the day Havah naps when she wants to, cries when she wants to, poops when she wants to and often cries out very clearly GRAM!! When she says this what she is telling Gram is, "No one is holding me. I have this strange sensation on my back! I think it's the bed. Please come save me."

This Face

I love this face and miss this little girl. She's not so much of a baby any longer. There's too much competition in the baby department. I wish she lived closer, but her mom doesn't like it when I pray that He would move them to Kansas City.
Thanks for capturing this beautiful smile Sara!
